Sri Kurumba Self Help Group Units (SKSHG)
As a part of people banking many banks are now providing their micro credit finance facilities to Self help groups.In 2008, KSS started the Sri Kurumba Self Help Groups (SKSHG) in its various branches of Kerala.Its aim is to form family units for self sustainable social and economic growth, provide micro credit facilities for its members,starting self employment ventures etc.There are 40 Sri Kurumba SHG Units currently functioning in various KSS branches in Cherthala Taluk Union. Mr. Kannappan (KSS Board Member) and Ms. Thangamma (KMSS-CTU Sec.) are the Co-ordinators in charge of Sri Kurumba SHG units in Cherthala Taluk.
