Education Cell
The community is educationally progressing for the last two decades .But even today many bright and talented students,after their schooling / graduation, are unable to complete their Higher education though educational fees concession is granted by the Govt.Majority of them discontinue their studies due to socio-economic compulsions ,lack of goal setting,Lack of Guidance,Low self esteem,Socio-economic Constraints and High competition in admissions for professional courses.Only good education can bring an integrated socio-economic progress in our community.
KSS has always been in forefront for improvising the educational backwardness in the community.After two years of state wide mass struggle organised by KSS, in 2008 the community was granted 1% reservation in seeking admissions for various professional courses by the State Govt.This opportunity has thrown vast avenues of openings for our students to join professional courses,leading to a better future.Traditionally our students are reluctant to join the high end Course like Btech/MBBS/MBA/MCA/LLB/Diploma/Mtech/BDS/Ayurveda etc. due to above said reasons and opt for the normal academic course which do not guarantee an employment potential especially in our State. Under this scenario the potential of this opportunity must be understood by our students and parents.This opportunity must be judicially utilized and guide our students to join these courses. An Education cell was formed under the KSS with following aim.
1) Guide our students and encourage them for pursuing Higher Education or join Professional courses.
2) Spread awareness about the 1% reservation quota , its vast opportunities and intelligently utilize it.
3) Spread awareness among the parents for supporting their children,orient them towards pursuing better education.
4) Seek voluntary contributions and advice from Professionals,well educated people.Expand the working of the education cell through their participation.
5) Conduct seminars/ tuition /entrance coaching classes.
6) Encourage talented students who need a financial support
