Kudumbi Community demands 1% reservations in Govt. jobs
Even today Kudumbi community has low representations in various departments of State Govt . Though the community comes under preview of Other Backward Communities OBC reservations, there is almost no representation in Class I and Class II categories of various State govt executive posts. Even after 60 yrs of Indian independence not a single kudumbi is able to aspire for the cover ted post of IAS / IPS / IFS. To fulfill the social equality as guaranteed by our constitution and the opportunities which were denied to the community , KSS is demanded 1% reservation for kudumbi community in various Govt. jobs. In this scenario KSS had organised a State wide agitation and rally in various taluks Unions and branches for the above said demand.
The rally started from Trissur on 26-Dec-2010,covering Ernakulam and Trissur Districts .The rally covered various branches in Cherthala on Sunday 16-Jan-2011 . All the KSS branches received the Jeep rally led by KSS state leaders. KSS - CTU also organized a Dharna in front of Chertala Taluk Office on Monday 17th-Jan-2011. All the 19 KSS CTU branches participated in the Dharna .It was be addressed by various KSS State / Taluk leaders and other political leaders .
The State wide Agitation and rally got completed on 28th-Jan-2011 at Trivandrum. A dharna in front of State Secretariat and rally was also arranged on the same day. CTU members also participated in the rally led by CTU Vice President Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. RadhaKrishnan (KSS Board Member).
